Maybe becoming yourself is the whole point.

Make her feel like art.

Let it be unpolished, messy, and true.

Have curiosity without an agenda.
Feeling deeply is a gift.
Declare your love without words.
Come to life.
Try not trying.

Maybe never lose the drive to pursue the things we love, no matter how bumpy the road is.

And then, inevitably, the road gets bumpy.

There is no user manual for love.

The price of authenticity is rejection from the majority.

Authenticity without basic intelligence is stupidity.

So you learn.

You learn that the river never argues with the stones.
It simply learns another song.

Water wouldn’t sound beautiful without the rocks in its way.

You learn to change without becoming someone else.

Change is simply becoming more of yourself: metamorphosis.

You learn to simplify.

True intelligence is to simplify.

You learn that being wild doesn’t mean being reckless.

Have you seen something wild feel sorry for itself?

You keep going.

You are here for the good time, not the long time.

You sit in the sun sometimes and realise that is enough for a good day.

You begin to notice that joy has a habit of returning.

And maybe you finally understand:

What if it all works out like waves breaking and merging into the ocean?

Maybe you can have all the world if you believe in all of its flaws.

Maybe you can believe that things can suddenly and miraculously change in your favour.

But change asks for a price.

You have to let go of the version of yourself that needed everything to make sense.

You have to be proud of yourself for winning battles you tell no one about.

You have to understand that detachment from pursuit is not detachment from love.

You can stop chasing without stopping caring.

And then one day, you look back.

Am I becoming someone new or returning to myself?

Maybe both.

Maybe that is what becoming alive really means.

Not becoming someone else.

Not becoming perfect.

Just becoming more yourself.

The river didn’t defeat the rocks.

It became a song because of them.
